Australian Curriculum and Singapore maths Level 5 comparison

Here we compare two Singapore maths programs with the Australian Curriculum (AC) at level 5. By this stage you will start to see how well prepared your child is becoming and where their primary maths education is taking them. You can find out where level 6 takes your child here.

Generally, you will find that Singapore maths is often ahead of the AC. For example, you will see that the concept of fractions is well developed by level 5 in Singapore maths. Any differences are usually minor and often taught in other related concept areas or previous grades, so please check each level below and above this one.
