Singapore maths level 2 and Australian Curriculum compared

This comparison follows on from Singapore maths Level 1 compared with the Australian Curriculum requirements. While examining what’s covered in Level 2 it’s important to compare to Level 1 and Level 3. In the case that something seems to be “missing”, it’s highly likely it was covered in the previous level, so please check both, especially if you are starting out at Level 2.

Check the Australian Curriculum. There is no mention of an “achievement standard” for this element.

Area

Area and perimeter are covered in NSPM Level 3.

Name and order months and seasons; calendar for date and days in each month

Fix: You can do this yourself using a calendar; seasons are a no-brainer, especially if you are doing nature study. Or, check your science curriculum.
